Core Research Cluster for Materials Science FY2023 2nd Seminar × 6th Research DX Strategy Seminar

While the accumulation and utilization of research data has become a domestic and international trend, a great swell is sweeping through the field of materials science in response to the government's “Strategy for Strengthening Materials Innovation Capability”. Tohoku University is positioned as a center for large–scale projects such as ARIM and DxMT, and is expected to participate in the promotion of “Research DX” in various ways. In this seminar, we will welcome Mr. Tomomi Nagano, who has been working on policy planning and implementation as a general unit leader of JST's Center for Research and Development Strategy and a technical advisor to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and will present a bird's–eye view of the latest information on trends in government strategies. We believe this seminar will be an excellent opportunity to reconsider these materials research strategies based on the policy side perspective. We sincerely look forward to your active participation.
Although the focus is on the field of materials science, we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to get a glimpse of how research styles are going to change in the near future, and what advantages you can find there.
