Title
Generalized geometry, Noncommutativity and Dirac–Born–Infeld action
Abstract
Noncommutative gauge theories are explained from the point of view of generalized geometry. Within this framework, the open–closed relations between the background fields, the Seiberg–Witten map and the commutative–noncommutative duality are naturally introduced. DBI action (and its higher versions) are interpreted as a consequence of the requirement of equivalences between the commutative and noncommutative descriptions of of D–branes (p–branes).
