Cohort, Biobank, and Metabolome for Personalized Medicine

Information

Large-scale cohorts and biobanks are the foundation for building personalized healthcare as the next generation medicine, and many developed countries are working on them. In particular, Nordic countries have been trying to establish large-scale cohort and biobanks ahead of other countries, and to diversify genome and omics analyses utilizing samples from biobanks and cohort. In this symposium, we will introduce cohort and biobank projects that are being conducted on nationwide scale in Sweden, Norway, and Finland, and discuss what kind of results can be created by multiple analyses including various omics studies. We will also discuss the possibility of collaboration with the Tohoku Medical Megabank Project.
