World Bosai Forum 2023: Special Organized Sessions
Information
At the Third United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction held in Sendai in 2015,
The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction was adopted as a guideline for global disaster reduction efforts,
and people from around the world discussed future disaster reduction.
The World Bosai Forum (WBF) proposes solutions from various points of view to enable disaster risk reduction
in Japan and overseas and aims to promote the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030
while learning from each other and creating new values.
The WBF2017 was led by Tohoku University and Sendai City, with a diverse group of stakeholders
(United Nations, international organizations, governments, private sectors, media, NGOs, citizens,
universities, and research institutes).
The WBF2019 took place during 9–12 November 2019.
Five organized sessions of WBF2023 will be assigned for invited tsunami museum's representatives,
young and experienced researchers.
Persons invited through this proposed program will simplify their scientific findings and
present their discussion results during WBF2023
to various stakeholders via the organized session and several poster presentations.
