Professor Motoko Kotani, Tohoku Forum for Creativity Director, has been appointed to serve as Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs on April 1, 2022. Professor Kotani will assist Prof. Matsumoto Yoichiro, Science and Technology Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs. She is expected to further strengthen Japan's science and technology diplomacy through her advice and activities as Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
