Information
The Soba Forum in Sendai 2025 will feature valuable lectures and talk shows by two distinguished special guests. The first is Dr Yoshinori Ohsumi, who is a Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine in 2016 for his research on autophagy. The second is Dr Masaaki Osawa, highly regarded for his research in Chinese history, particularly agricultural history, women's history, and family history. This is a unique opportunity to hear insights spanning multiple fields, from the cutting edge of life sciences to the agriculture and food culture embedded within Chinese history. Following each lecture, a talk show hosted by a professional moderator will allow attendees to engage more intimately with both scholars. Members of the general public are also welcome.
