Talk with a Nobel Prize Laureate ! Science Cafe in Sendai
~ A journey of science, believing in what you want to do ~
Information
In cells, a tiny world invisible to the naked eye is constantly in motion. We invite Dr. Yoshinori Ohsumi, who is the 2016 Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine for his work in elucidating the mechanisms of this world, to have an exchange meeting with junior high and high school students.
Dr. Ohsumi will share the story of how he began his research, the episodes leading up to his discoveries, and the “fascination of continuing science” directly with participants. There will also be a question–and–answer session with participants and small–group discussions. This is an opportunity to experience ‘real science’ and the personalities of researchers that you won't find in textbooks.
