Falling Walls Lab Sendai was a great success with outstanding performances from all the participants.
The audience enjoyed the huge diversity of topics spanning AI, medical treatments and disaster science, among many others. MC for the event was Atsuko Kohata, TV presenter and a radio personality, best known as movie commentator on programs such as TBS “King's Brunch”.
Among the 17 presenters, we are delighted to announce the three winners of Falling Walls Lab Sendai 2022.

1st Place
Mohamed Atwa (Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology) – Breaking the Wall of Magnetic Computers

2nd Place
Maninder Singh (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) – Breaking the Wall of Biodegradable Plastics “Blessing in Disguise”

3rd Place
Yuki Onishi (Tohoku University) – Breaking the Wall of Robotic Furniture for Smart Room

Our winner, Mr. Mohamed Atwa is going to present his research at the Falling Walls Finale taking place in Berlin on November 7.
