Falling Walls Lab Sendai was a great success, showcasing outstanding performances from all participants. The audience enjoyed a wide array of topics, including social issues, general health topics, environmental engineering, and many others.
This year, we had an opportunity to hear 12 presentations. Among them, we are delighted to announce the three winners of Falling Walls Lab Sendai 2024.
1st Place
Upasana Jhariya (Tohoku University) – Breaking the Wall of Heavy Metals Waste
2nd Place
Kaho Matsumoto (Tohoku University) – Breaking the Wall of Relying on Medicine
3rd Place
Andrey Stephan Siahaan (Tohoku University) – Breaking the Wall of White Phosphorus Sustainability
Two of our winners, Ms. Upasana Jhariya and Ms. Kaho Matsumoto are going to present their research at the Falling Walls Finale taking place in Berlin on November 7. 2024.
With that being said, the competition was very close this year and therefore we would like to express our gratitude to all participants!
