Once again, Falling Walls Lab Sendai was a successful endeavor to bring young participants pitching their solutions to break walls on social issues, health topics, environmental problems and many other topics.

This edition hosted 23 presenters from prominent universities and diverse backgrounds. Among them, we are delighted to announce the three winners of Falling Walls Lab Sendai 2025.

1st Place
Zeenat Niaz (Tohoku University) – Breaking the Wall of Chemical Pesticides: Eco-Friendly Alternative to Bacterial Wilt

2nd Place
Akira Ono (Keio University) – Breaking the Wall of Regenerative Therapy

3rd Place
Takeshi Kurasawa (Tohoku University) – Breaking the Wall of Autoimmune Disease

Two of our winners, Ms. Zeenat Niaz and Mr. Akira Ono are going to present their research at the Falling Walls Finale taking place in Berlin on November 6. 2025.

As always, the competition was very close, the decision to choose winners was as hard as it gets, and therefore we would like to express our gratitude to all participants!
