Information
The Women in Science session is designed to support the next generation of women in science by creating an opportunity to learn directly from the experiences of leading women researchers. Beyond discussing individual career paths, the session will explore the challenges researchers encounter and what can be changed to create a more supportive and inclusive environment for the next generation of researchers.
In a small-group setting of around 20 participants, attendees will hear directly from invited speakers, including Nobel laureate Prof. Donna Strickland, about why they chose science, what they have learned throughout their careers, and what advice they would give to younger researchers. The session will also provide ample time for open discussion, giving participants a rare opportunity to ask questions, exchange perspectives, and think about their own future in science.
Throughout the session, we invite participants to reflect on one central question: What would help the next generation of women build fulfilling careers in science?
