Impacts of InsurTech on Insurance Market: Considering by Insurance Economics Recently the development of ICT has greater impact on the insurance sector. Focusing on insurance business, InsurTech causes a change of traditional products. An aim of the lecture is making clear of impacts of InsurTech on the market from the viewpoint of insurance economics. Theoretical approach will bring essential understanding of the impacts. And then, we will discuss how InsurTech makes insurance market more efficient.

The insurance business, which started with the spirit of mutual aid, has established a business model based on risk assessment by utilizing data such as accident rates and disease rates. With the transformation of digital society and the explosion in the amount and types of data, the opportunities for the insurance industry to verify risks based on new data are increasing dramatically. In this key address, we will share the perspectives on the transformation of the insurance business to create a better future, discussing how data contributes to transforming the insurance business model to help solve social issues, what kind of new insurance solutions and business opportunities will open up from data, and how new relationships with customers will go beyond the existing insurance business with examples of AXA's business operations around the world.


Efforts for future medicine with cohort and biobank data

Efforts for future medicine based on large–scale data from cohort/biobank are underway in Japan and overseas. This presentation will introduce the Tohoku Medical Megabank Project and other domestic and international projects, and look at the future of medicine by data x AI.
