Information
In recent years, the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) in aircraft fuselages has been rapidly increasing due to the demand for lighter weight and reduced maintenance costs. However, as the use of CFRP as an aircraft component increases, lightning strikes to the airframe during flight have become a problem.
In this seminar, Professor Yue of McGill University, Canada will introduce his researches on the development of lightning-resistant coatings using a solid phase deposition technique called cold spraying.
