Workshop on Locality: Based on the Advanced Case Study of Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture

In this program, a workshop will be held in Maniwa City, Okayama City, which has been enhancing the value of “wood” as a recyclable resource and anticipating new values demanded by the times, to share and discuss the current state of technology, issues, case studies, and knowledge, and to identify common and different aspects of the local knowledge extracted. The workshop will also lead to proposals for measures to resolve local issues identified at the workshop on resilience in Tohoku and the international workshop. The workshop will also serve as an opportunity to build an international research network through close interaction between young researchers and senior experts from various countries.
