Thematic Programs

Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations for Future Applications

Program Theme  [Apr. 26, 2017 Updated]

The Thematic Program ”Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations for Future Applications” consists of visits of foreign mathematicians to Sendai, Japan, and of seminars, mini-courses and international conferences. We will focus on nonlinear partial differential equations arising in fluid mechanics, reaction diffusion, optimal control, modern physics, material sciences and geometry.
In order to search for new applications, we will invite experts in material sciences and fluid mechanics from Tohoku University and Kyushu University.
