International Symposium 2: XR Technology and International Collaboration – Educational and Social Contributions

Information

In the near future, it is expected that everyone will be able to participate in learning without the constraints of time and place through a collaborative environment constituted by Metaverse and XR technology. In this light, the International Symposium 1 “The Metaverse and XR Technology – Educational Applications and International Collaboration” tried to identify the advantages and challenges of using the Metaverse in education, introducing the latest examples of international collaborative learning conducted at Tohoku University. In its continuation, the International Symposium 2 “XR Technology and International Collaboration – Educational and Social Contributions” will discuss the social implementation of XR technology in the concrete situation of education with experts from industry, government, and academia, in order to gain a perspective for a future society.
